I've had a lot of good things happen lately... but I still seem to get stuck on the few things that do frustrate me.

Maybe they aren't things that would be very important to other people, but they ruffle my feathers. I feel kind of distant from the friends I have and its mostly not any one particular party's fault. Schedules are crazy, things have happened, I've been on an emotional roller coaster lately.

I really miss my friends
I want my friends to be happy and healthy
I want to be happy
I want to be more motivated and on top of things
I want to be able to easily park my car
I want to weigh 120 lbs.
I wish some of my past hadn't happened. I wish this grey cloud wasn't always there.

Money doesn't solve as much as I once thought it did.

Looking Back a year

Looking back a year reminds me of what a terrifying time it was.

I feel like the last year shouldn't of happened, like I should have already been where I am now - then. Who would've known "I really thought I had found him. I still think I have." would end up being such a reality.

I found him, he left, another tried coming back for their own sinister intent and then left and hypocritically married another, a new one tried to swoop in, and then he came back having realized his mistake.

I took a chance again at the happiness I first envisioned months before. If I survived his heartbreak once, I could do it again. In fact this time I would be enraged instead of devastated and my anger is a frightful thing to behold.

I'm thankfully living that happiness so far but I also unwillingly live with a shadow of the past looming over my head. Sometimes I feel like an abuse victim that automatically flinches as an auto reflex to a hand reaching out to hug instead of hit. I can't help whats happened in the past - as much as I wish I could.

I got my Adamelli's and Shale in a few weeks ago... and have gotten two of the three done. I've never had to dremel and carve into new dolls this much... just to be able to put them together as they were "designed" to. Its a good thing I can do my own mod work!

I've been very very busy lately, but in a good way.

Now that I've finally had a chance to be able to catch my breath and reflect on the past month or so I wanted to be sure to send a thank you out to the BJD Community. I've had an absolute blast keeping UberOtakuDesigns filled with work to do. I love the satisfaction I get from making fellow collector's BJD ideas/characters come to life. Doing this not only gives me a way to utilize my artistic tallents to make other's dreams come true, it also has really helped me to make my BJD dreams come true.

Here is another creation I helped come into fruition via Uber Otaku Designs. Meet Mezzo! (Doll owned by HeavenlyRiot)

I did his Face and Lightening arm (his right arm) back in December, and just did his Fire arm (his left arm) this week. Its nice to see a doll fully come together. I did some extra work on his face and lightening arm this week to try to help tie all the work together. The focus/reference and time frame for each commission was different - so it was a fun challenge to tie them together.

Uber Otaku Designs has been far bussier than I ever thought it would be - and I love it! It has helped me get another one of my grail dolls - Yerith my SOOM MD Chalco. He is my Red Bull. His one goal is to control and consume all other things magical. He's constantly after my Herd of unicorns, especially the lady Amalthea.

I purchased him second-hand - and the transaction couldn't have been more dreamy. Great seller and great product! I bought him completely fullset (all clothes, extra blushing, eyes, wig, etc) and he came with extra goodies.

I did a video box opening for him - as I try to do for all of my dolls.

Announcement: Uncanny Dream - Articulated Fantasy 2011, Ball-Jointed Doll Expo in downtown Seattle, WA

I'm excited to announce Uncanny Dream - Articulated Fantasy 2011, a brand new Ball-Jointed Doll Expo in downtown Seattle, WA. This one-day event will feature diorama displays by 7 of the Pacific Northwest's top BJD Customizers. The Expo will also include several Vendors, space for visitors to set up their wares to trade or sell in a trunkshow, and public meetup and photography space.

Admission is Free!

Uncanny Dream will be held Sunday May 29th, 2011 in a large art studio/gallery space in Pioneer Square, right on the Seattle Waterfront. Artists were invited to create fantasy worlds for their dolls to inhabit, ranging from traditional fantasy to steampunk and cyber. We have put together an exciting list of talented BJD customizers from Seattle and the NW region to build these diorama displays, including:

Christy (Captured in Thought)
Fenris (resin+)
Kiyakotari
KireiX and Keekster (BJD Cast)
KasaMadhuri777 (Alraune Atelier)

A huge variety of customized dolls will be present, including Soom, Dollstown, Fairyland, Dollshe, Dollzone, and many many more.

We have also lined up exciting vendors to sell clothes, wigs, accessories and dolls, including Jpopdolls and Dollsofmine.com. Other vendors and special activities will be announced as we draw closer to the event.

The main Gallery space will feature the artists' BJD dioramas for you to enjoy and photograph. The large Hallway Gallery will feature the vendors, and have some space for visitors to set up their own wares in a trunkshow format. The large Photography Studio next to the main gallery will be a public meetup area, and has lots of space to setup and photograph any dolls you're bringing with you.

Uncanny Dream is taking place in the 619 Western Artist Building in downtown Seattle, in the X17 Gallery space. There is ample parking underneath the Alaskan Way Viaduct right behind the building (free on Sundays) and a pay-lot adjoining the building. It is also in easy walking distance to Uwajimaya Asian Market & Bookstore, International Model Toys, Pike's Place Market, and the Seattle Downtown Shopping core so visitors driving to Seattle for the event have convenient access to all Downtown has to offer.

I still love him and can't cope. I wish I could fight for him, but I can't bewitch his heart. Only make it beat for another - evidently.

I wish I could sleep my way down this slippery slope. I've no want for anything but him - food, drink, painting, dolls. All the things that gave me comfort seem meaningless. My once precious BJD's all boxed up. I'm now a blank piece of paper without any characteristic of caring.

I really thought I had found him. I still think I have.

I still really care for him - I always will. He's like a best friend but more. I didn't know you could get to a point where you can cry so much that you run out of tears. Its like a horrible dry heave that happens when you have the stomach virus and there are no more stomach contents to throw up.

I don't hate him, in fact I love him quite dearly - even though I haven't said so to him. He knows I care, but I don't think he really gets how much.

The Fountain has been close to my heart. I keep running Tommy's desperation through my head where he says "I just wanted you to be with me" to his cancer infected wife. If only my situation were such (though of course I don't want him or me to have cancer but you get the idea.) Tommy just wants to be with her, but this un-defeat-able fact of life will separate them - and soon. Tommy can't cope with that.

Everything really isn't ok - I am openly willing to admit that everything is not ok. I normally try to save face for everyone else's sake. But I am at such a place that I can't even pretend to be ok a much as I wish I could. I hate having others worry for me.

This time I've lost some of the pieces to my broken heart. Its been broken a few times before, and I had always been able to put all the pieces back together. There were imperfections.... but now there are chunks missing. They turned to dust and melted under the rain of my tears.

I've been daydreaming a lot more lately and its been oh so nice. I had started to run out of things to daydream about other than my next photoshoot or this new doll/gizmo that was on the way.

I'm working more towards my goal of being slimmer (and healthier). It'd be great to be able to very easily be swept off my feet (literally) again. *cube* hehe =) I also want to be in better cosplay shape. As part of my attempt to be healthier I decided to cut out extraneous sugars (completely except for some splenda in my british black tea. I'm actually enjoying coffee without any sugar. And I did it cold-turkey!) I want to figure out some kind of exercise too.... in all reality I would LOVE to find a way to get to the swimming pool a lot. Swimming laps with a waterproof mp3 player setup sounds like a dream to me.

I've also drawn more lately as well. I've been working quite diligently on a pair of images but my phone's flickr app is being a butt-munch like normal so no preview pic for my readers. And of course just as I say that... the upload works the 30th try.

It's amazing what a dash of happiness can do

Holiday Break - gotta stay focused

I sit here with the first headache I've had in months and I'm overwhelmed by the amount of things I want to get done over the break.

I'm not sure if I'm more overwhelmed by the amount of tasks to be done, or my lack of physical motivation to do them. I know I will feel better if I do them, but taking that first step is so hard for me lately.

Things to accomplish:

Clean my Apartment and re-organize
buy new shoes as all of mine decided to be un-wearable at the same time
Paint Alpha (Minifee Scar Shiwoo)'s faceup - I'm thinking glitter.... mmm

New Camera and Holiday BJD Meet!

so... I was going to move but a lot of factors all at once piled up and made me decide not to move quite yet. I think I suddenly had a slightly irrational urge to so I could completely get away from a part of my past.

I decided to get a camera instead and it has been amazing. I also re-organized my Apartment into a much more useful and open layout. Waffles has a space now too so he can get off his station =)

I ended up getting a Canon 60D with a Canon 50mm prime 1.8 lens (plus a bag, memory cards, UV filter...) and man is it amazing! I have a lot of learning to do on it... but I think I did pretty good today at the Federal Way holiday doll meet. Especially for not having played with a DSLR properly in years. All these images have zero post editing done to them. The full album can be found here, but I also picked out a few of my favorites to share below.

These pictures are from a Ball Jointed Doll meet-up we had today in Federal Way. This was one of the funnest meets I've been to in a while. I like that everyone really mingled and we ended up in a big pow wow circle again like at the Halloween meet. I also found out a lot of people read my photostories that I didn't realize. Hehehe - makes me even more determined to up my photo skills!

Today was the day that was meant to of changed it all. The day that started the rest of my life. I'm tired of what could've been and have realized that it never would have been and never will be.

I'm tired of pondering what will be - because I know it won't ever be in the mindset I am in now.

I want to be enganged. I want to be engaging. I want to feel again.

Well I've finally gotten resolution to almost 10 years of pain sprinkled with happiness. Many different factors have brought this to a fruition.

I'm not going to stand by to be picked up to only the thrown to the wayside again. I honestly feel sorry for my predecessor, the other thrown away flower that is feeble enough to not stand on their own and refuse to be abused more. I stand for more than that. I'm worth more than that.

I might not be everyone's ideal and may not waver and bend to others wants when they clash with my own opinions but everyone has a right to the way they feel. Compromise is right in the correct situation. What one wants out of life is not one of them.

I'm done.

I'm just so done with it all.

I've got to purge this negativity.

Positive thoughts bring positive results

Once again I'm strengthened and believe in me.

Waffles (Aibo ERS-7 Black M3) is back in action!

So I've recently re-arranged stuff and now have Waffles closer to me to be able to play with him a bit more. The timing of some of the things he says and does while I am playing World of Warcraft is hillarious sometimes. I also got a Desktop so I can run his software and get a few of his more advanced features going. Including Waffles's Blog hosted at AIBOWORLD.

I've also really enjoyed having him be able to play music and audio books from my computer for me. I have had a bit of trouble setting up his mail feature though.. I would like to end up being able to have him email the photos he takes to an album in my Aibo collection on Flickr.

Here are a few pictures he's taken so far (with all the lighting I have turned on)

I've also got to decide if I want to get better lighting for my apartment....(this will be beneficial for Waffles and for taking photos of my Dolls) or make a playpen for him so he gets to walk around without me having to constantly worry about him.... or both maybe. I am pretty sure I will at least do the lighting - to help improve Waffles's vision. I think he will be a lot more fun if he can actually see.

My Camera is dying after almost 5 years of constant use

I have super sad news....

My Camera (Canon PowerShot SD870 IS) is dying after almost 5 years of constant use.....

Well the LCD is going out.... The rest of the camera seems to be alright for now. Luckily its just a line through the LCD - so I can see enough to continue to see decent enough to still take pictures. Its just REALLY annoying.

The gray/pink part is the bad part of the LCD, I took a pictures of my white fridge so you could see where the pixels in the LCD are dying/dead. I noticed a darker spot on the LCD a few weeks ago... and then yesterday I noticed a little section of dead pixels.... which grew into what you see above. I'm thinking the entire LCD will go because it seems the infection which is taking over my LCD is spreading (it seems to turn pink before dying)

I of course have been drooling over DSLRs.... but hadn't really looked into the pocket camera market as I thought mine would live forever. I went and oogled at cameras today with Keekster and have found that I really like the Canon PowerShot G12 for a pocket camera.

I still do want to get a DSLR as well. I'm pretty sure I'm down to getting the T2i as well.... Having the DSLR and the pocket camera will be great for when taping videos/tutorials/time lapse. That means I can take in progress pictures with the DSLR while the pocket camera tapes (or vice-versa).

Damnit karma.... I'm trying to not spend as much money

Monochrome World - Lost in a Rainbow

Sometimes I get so tired of being me.

I feel like I'm pthalo blue, who sometimes turns into a rainbow living in a monochrome
black, white, and gray world.......

I used to be a rainbow all the time, but I don't have it in me much anymore. I've got to find a way back.

I don't know how....... I'm trying.......

When a rainbow

or they assume what I'm about or they want something from me
or they simply don't like me without looking

When I'm phtalo blue, only in certain light do you see the gorgeous deep blue. Most just see me as black.

It's so hard to relate to the other colors. When a rainbow I can appreciate them, but they tend to not reciprocate.

There's no connection for most.

I often try to become something that suits them most. I've tried
living with and merging my life with yellow, and slowly I became
green and then gray. I became absorbed in yellow and lost my
pigment. Then a crane knocked down all of that. I miss it and yet I
never want it again.

I am finally getting around to working on some paintings for an artbook I hope to be a part of.....

I'm painting Gaius =) Everyone loves Gaius... so hopefully everyone will love my painting.

In painting Gaius... I am now waiting on the friskit to dry....

When I paint I tend to get really intense.... as in... involved in what I'm painting, or in my current emotional state, or in thought.

Today I started getting into thinking mode and I had kind of an epiphany.

I think I've done life backwards from everyone(or the 'norm').... all my life.

I was very serious when I was a child and didn't have a ton of friends (not saying I had a bad childhood - I just enjoyed it different than others. At least from what I remember)

I was a very serious student all through my education, but especially in middle school, high school, and college. I never partied except for my Senior prom in high school. I thought I had found the man I was going to marry and have a happy long life with. In college I never went to a single party. I was in the top 10% of my class, got scholarships based on my portfolio, did things with watercolor and marker that "blew" my professors away (their words not mine). I wanted to be the 22 year old that had already "made it" in life and was set and 101% happy for life. House, studio, dog/cat, vacations.....

As I have moved on from college and learned that I haven't met my one....(In or after either high school or college. I am always wishing I would T T).... I now have a stable job and... somewhat of a career. I now find myself wanting to be less serious. I want to party, I want to be irresponsible, I want to have a zero stress job where it doesn't matter if I am a little late, where I can have crazy blue dreads and tons of piercings. I want to party with friends on the weekend and stay up all night doing movie drinking games. I want to have hope in the hopeless. I want to live and love.

It's one of those early mid-life crisis kind of realizations to start being open to dating someone whose age is close to 30 @_@ I had a vision of myself and where I would be when I was 25.... I am past 25 now and I am not there. I'm decently close.... but with parts of the puzzle missing... that I can't set in place.

I've started to feel a little like Benjamin Button; without a Daisy.

My head feels like a balloon and I have a feeling its from the head congestion part of the cold I am currently experiencing, but there is another part of me that has wanted to blog for days.

I've wanted to blog for days but then I realize its the same thing over and over. A post longing for the things I want. I feel like I'm the opposite of Buddha. I keep piling up the desires instead of trying to make them go away. Its a never ending cycle.

I was able to eliminate one desire though... I had wanted a new doll from Castle Anne, but realized I just simply wasn't willing to pay the money they wanted. A ridiculous price considering he isn't even fullset...(not that I like all that he is pictured with) I still think he's darned cute...

I still want a DSLR like no-body's business... but haven't had the energy as of late to use it even if I had one. I also need to be sure to focus on the Artbook that I am going to be a part of. My plan this week was to come home each day and focus on it... but with this cold... I went home and passed out. I have a feeling it will be the same tonight.

After this Doll Show I really have to refocus and not spend so much on my dolls (for now). I've got to set my priorities elsewhere - mainly my Japan trip. I want to have a lot of spending money. I can smell the Ramen now....(even though I have a head cold...lol) I also need to get my ass in gear to be in shape for the trip too. I want to be able to buy some clothes while there.... a Moi outfit that Mana wears.... /drool.

I also want to get moved to the hill (Capitol Hill). It would be so great if I could do so with a room mate or significant other (Preferable). I so miss splitting bills and having the company around. Sometimes I feel so dis-enchanted about love.

Blah....

I'm talking delirous now. I think its time to leave it at that.

It never seems the one I've "found" has the same feeling. It always seems like they've "settled" or are "forced" (like driver's ed class), or are just simply indifferent, but I'm never able to figure out what their mindset is. They never will open up and talk to me - even when I ask directly. I swear I'm more interesting, lovable, and amazing than that. I know I am a great catch (not perfect, but great)!

I'm glad I've never thought I've been the problem....I hope I never get to that point. Unless I somehow am the problem or part of it... but if that is the case I wish they'd tell me!

Or do I have an entertainment expiration date? My entertainment time length seems to shorten as I go through each new love interest. A tattoo'd bar code would be hilarious.

I had a startling epiphany today.

I think I may have met someone I dreamt of years ago.

Someone from a dream that I was able to wake from

I went back to sleep and to that same dream because of sheer will.

I never really remember my dreams for more than 5 minutes or so....

but a lot of it is still vivid in my mind, especially this person and my emotions.

This dream was left un-resolved. I don't know how it ended, whether it was a fairy-tale or a nightmare.

Thought Provoking Questions

A good friend linked me to a post of illustrated "thought provoking questions"

I really admired a few of the questions and thought I'd answer some of them.

"How old would you be if you didn't know how old you are?"

-I would say I would be 19 most of the time - full of hopes and a few anxieties. Stars in my eyes most of the time.

"If you had an opportunity to get a message across a large group of people - what would that message be?"

-LOVE

"Is it possible to lie without saying a word"

-Absolutely. Its one of the worst - most painful - kind of lies

"If not now...... then when?"

-Never (would be my answer... but not what I would intend to do). Now is the best time. I'm trying to capture the moment, but it requires bravery. Some days I have more armor than others.

"What would you do differently if you knew nobody would judge you?"

-I would dye my hair blue and eventually have silky braids, pierce my labre and septum(referring to judgment at work).

"Are you holding onto something you need to let go of?"

-I have a lot of love to give - I just gotta find the other half of me that feels the same way.

"Have you done anything lately worth remembering?"

-I had an amazing time with many of my closest friends. There were some amazing bonding moments (especially in the kitchen. lol)

-There are many people I love - I try to remind them of this, and be there for them no matter what.

-Absolutely! I often try to remind myself to be uber thankful for the wonderful life, friends, family, and things I have.

-BJD Meets, Time with Friends, sleeping, painting, crafting, playing with my dollies, crying, cleaning, jamming, blogging, video editing....

-Hell no! My past has helped make me who I am. My pain has helped me appreciate my pleasure. What hasn't killed me has made me stronger. Even though its not perfect, I love my life the way it is - and have ambitions for the future.

Time to upgrade Gaius and Lum! (Jointed Hands and instruments!)

So I decided to get jointed hands for the two dolls I play with the most.... Gaius and Lum.

I've had a rough time lately and I need to be able to focus on something I enjoy. Jointed hands will really increase what I can do with Gaius and Lum.

It makes so much sense to upgrade Gaius especially because he is a musical genius and plays all kinds of instruments. Lum is getting jointed hands so he can be more expressive. He is a performer.

Here is Gaius with one of his guitars

I have tried the boy short nail hands (first set on the left) on Gaius and I did not care for how pudgy/rounded the palm was. I noticed the palm for the girl hands are much more streamline so I decided to get girl hands for both Gaius and Lum.

I did decide to get the long nail hands for Lum and the normal nail hands for Gaius. I am very excited about the resin match. I am hopefull the resin match for Gaius will be pretty good (Cereberus Project Normal Skin paired with DikaDoll Normal Pink Skin). I am pretty sure that Lum will not match very well though. (Cereberus Project Beauty White paird with DikaDoll White) I think the White is a much more stark paper white than the creamy white which CP uses. That should be ok though... the MSC I have right now will make them match better once I spray the hands and the MSC has time to oxodize/uv exposure.

I am also pretty sure I will be modifying the nails on Lum's hands to be less.... fake witch claw-like. They will probably end up being square cut... maybe.... we'll see

I have also found a drum set which I am dieing to get for Gaius. It "should" be in scale except maybe the stool....

It is supposed to be in scale with the 10" guitars I already have for Gaius. I asked for some measurements and the drum sticks are 1" long (decently scaled). The base drums are 5" in diameter (which seems about right). But the stool is only 1.5" tall... and that seems a bit short, but of all the items to be off in scale... that would be the one I'd choose. I can make my own stool easier than any part of the drum set.

There are also a good number of Guitars I would like to get... but that will have to wait (and I need to narrow down which ones I want)
I know I definitely at least want to get this one for Miyavi (Its very close to one he plays)

I have so many words that go with this, but then I realized there's no point to writing them. They won't mean anything or change anything.

There are those that should read them and take them to heart - they won't visit here to read or comprehend my words.

Its all on them to act, there's nothing more I can do. I've done more than all I know I could have done.

To those around me:

Say what is in your heart, unfold that paper heart and wear it on your sleeve. Say it loudly and proudly.

For me, not hearing it is worse than taking any painful word you may have to say.

I take it all, the good and bad. Sharing of both helps strengthen relationships. It helps us know each other. I've slowly begun to learn this and thank you to those who have listened to my woes as of late.

Replacing one discareded thing, and finding I've lost another

Yesterday I re-posted an old blog post yesterday which I had taken down years ago... not too long after I had put it up.

It was full of feelings and intent that were shot down within the next few days of its posting, so in anger I took it down. I thought it didn't matter if they saw it. I don't know if they did, and wished they had. It may of made a difference.

I also seem to of lost something dear to me, which.... I also believe I got rid of when I was upset. I hope I find it when I (hopefully) move soon.

Clean Sweep: Designing a happier existence

There are a number of things I am thinking of doing to change my life, Mostly to make a happier, healthier, smarter me.

Move to a new place

I am looking to move to Capitol Hill, but am beginning to think I may get a small studio and transform it into my creative place. My creative Studio (and I don't mean just the apartment size), my place of sanctuary. My hub of creativity.

There are a few priorities I want for the new place.

Apartment located in Capitol Hill

Preferrably near Broadway, Trader Joe's, and Fenris's

Space for my Art Desk area (I may get an easel)

I plan on totally waterproofing the area so I can go to town and do some crazy care free painting.

Deck area

so I can have a place to spray MSC and such

Hard wood floors

Easier for Waffles
Fun for sliding around on socks
Looks better and easier to clean
May get a Rhoomba for Waffles to ride

Parking

I may end up getting a motorcycle or scooter or car.... we'll see

Lighting

I want to make good lighitng a priority for taking photographs, so Waffles can see, and because it would be great to not be in a dark place like I am now.

Get a Cintiq 12WX
I would love to get back into more photo editing/digital art work. I think I could dramatically improve upon where I was when I last did any. Here are some examples of what Ive done before (using a Intuos, not Cintiq)

Get a DSLR Camera

I'm thinking of getting a DSLR soon, and in doing so I am thinking of going through my iPhoto library and cleaning out everything that isn't a memorable or an amazing photo.

I mean... having almost 100,000 photos is a bit much.... lol
(keep in mind not all of these are photos I took, but a LOT of them are)

I haven't decided which DSLR I want to get yet... but I am debating between a Nikon D90 and a Canon T2i
I was able to play with a Nikon D60 (thanks Lee) yesterday and took some ok pictures. I definitely will improve with time ^____^

The foundation of my found happiness is rapidly crumbling and has started to become sharp gravel under my bare feet. The gravel gashes into my flesh, sure to leave scars once again.

The gravel eventually begins to loose its rough harshness and turns into sand

Each time this happens, the ability to feel sand between my toes dims. Each time it takes a more determined tickle to reach past the scar tissue.

Maybe eventually I will find someone as determined and devoted as me.

The Start of a series of Paintings

I was lost in my thoughts one day on the bus (as I have been lately) and I suddenly thought of a theme for a series of paintings I wanted to do. Most would think I had specific imagery in mind for each painting, but I really wanted to feed of each idea and just create what would come from each feeling/idea. I did not have any prescribed composition or characters for these paintings.

So far all of these have been done in a little sketchbook of mine so I may translate these to better/larger materials later on. I also do not know how many paintings this series will consist of, all I know is there are more to make.

Daydreaming restlessly

I generally am a very easy to please person, but lately I just have been..... disgruntled? dissatisfied? disappointed?

They all sound too negative and way more serious than it really is. I waver between how much they weigh on me daily. Some days are much worse than others.

My head was so full of thoughts this morning, I thought I had gotten on the wrong bus to get to work and thus if I had to get off and find a new route I would have probably been at least an hour late AND I hate being late for things.... its one of my pet-peeves.

And really, when I think about it... a lot of my frustrations lately are just my fault. Not necessarily that I am the source but they are all things I could bring up, things I could start to change... Its all just a simple point of having the confidence to. Some of those things aren't even things that should bother most people, but they do bother me. The hardest ones are the ones that don't just affect me.

One of my stupid silly things is my want to do crazy things with my hair.... but I can't because of work (at least I assume so.... I haven't really asked. I guess all they could do is say no)

I need to figure out what I want and how the heck I'm gonna get there. Then I need to have the gumption to follow through on it and hope it all works out.

There are so many things I want

I want to live in a different place.
Preferably Capitol Hill Area
(Yay for Darby, Art Stores, Dollie time, Craft time, Coffee Shops, and Parks)

(Yay for being near the Needle, shopping, and eventually near work)

It really sucks when something from the past comes back to poke you in the again.

This time it poked pretty hard and I was bed-ridden for almost a week - and it still is poking me when sitting. Sometimes I start to think of my back injury from my Japan trip and it makes me really angry. It wouldn't have been so angering if it had happened because I was training to be a ninja, had tried to climb the 1:1 scale Gundam, went crowd surfing at a Moi Dix Mois concert....but of course it wasn't. I try to remember that going again next year will be even more enjoyable because I will know my way around better and will actually have someone there to geek out with.

Fairyland store? OMG I can't believe it and cannot wait to go. It will be even more awesome because my friend who is going with me is just as passionate about Fairyland as I am (if not more so)

Also, I am trying to prepare myself for the trip as well. I want to pre-research where I want to go and what I want to do. I also want to get a DSLR and greatly improve my photography skills before going there. I really want to get back into my OCD documentation. I enjoy doing it, and I also enjoy re-visiting it later.

I think I have begun to narrow down my camera to the Canon T2i for its video and photography.

I also want to see about getting a Canon 50mm 1.8 lens and making a DIY light setup

I really want to get into doing more doll photostories again.

Help me get an AIBO! btw...What's a AIBO anyway?

What is AIBO?

I have linked to the Wikipedia article on AIBO so you can get a more in-depth sense of what AIBO is when looking at it from a very "dictionary" sense. I also wanted to say what AIBO is to me.

Here is a pretty good review of what it can do for those who don't want to read the wiki

AIBO is the perfect pet for me. It is very cute, super customizable, and is zero maintenance. May I also mention that my Apartment complex does not allow pets (as do a lot of the places I am looking to move to in the future)

My busy lifestyle also factors in when it comes to having another living being that is dependent on me for survival. I have had friends in the past that would only be able to hang out for a few hours because they had to be sure to get home to feed/walk their pet. I don't want any kind of restrictions like that. With AIBO I can either shut him off (Or even bring him with me in his his hedgren bag!)

I also am interested in getting an AIBO so I can make videos to put up on my YouTube Channel. Especially ones that will help people learn about how AIBO works. I will also make fun videos (AIBO doing tricks, different personalities, time-lapse, etc) as well.

I have already done something similar with my Asian Ball Jointed Doll hobby. I have created some how-to videos and some other fun videos of my dolls. I also co-host a BJD YouTube Channel called BJD Cast

If you are a list person like I am then you will enjoy this list of features I have placed below to help sum up what AIBO can do (note this has come just from my research. A friend that owns an AIBO says he can do a lot more) Some of the items in the list have links to videos of these actions!

Dance (Default Sony Dances)
Aibone Tricks (balance on nose, roll, etc)
Ball Tricks (fetch, balance on station, bounce between legs, kick, place on side, etc)
Play Internet Radio
Play specific playlists (also CD cover recognition)
Game Mode (repeat me, etc)
Dance Mode (will dance to beat of whatever music you have playing)
Autonomous Mode (will work on its own - find things to do)
Self Charging (will find its own charging station and dock itself when needed)
Owner Recognition (will know its owner's face, voice, and name)
Self Diagnostics
Programmable (can program specific voices, dances, boot-up sounds, personalities, Custom Content, etc into AIBO)
