I've always hated band-aids. Even if they come in bright colors

I wish I didn't have this band-aid over my heart.

It hurts to take it off, it hurts to heal, it looks ugly, it feels bad.

I wish I hadn't gotten hurt to begin with.

It shouldn't have affected me so much, but it's just not the same.
